If you are like us, we love to head outside in spring and spend more time in our outdoor space. We have had a few BBQ’s and simple meals outdoors over the past weeks. We have bought some new bright and colourful homewares to add some fun to our outdoor table.

Curtis Stone has released a new range of cookware, exclusively for Target. We can’t wait to try the new glass bottom spring form pan, which allows you to bake and serve directly on the glass base and has handles for easily transferring it to and from the oven. This will be perfect for our summer cheesecakes!

Bake a brownie in an oven proof skillet, and cut into wedges and serve with fresh fruit and ice-cream.

Ingredients
  • 5 tbs. unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 115 g (4 oz} dark chocolate (bittersweet chocolate), chopped
  • 60 g (2 oz) milk chocolate, chopped
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup plain flour (all purpose flour)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 165 degrees F ( 325 degrees F). Grease a skillet that is oven proof . 20 cm (8 inches in diameter).
  2. In a medium sized saucepan, over very low heat, combine the butter and chocolate. Stir until just melted and smooth, then remove from the heat. Stir in the sugar, then whisk in the eggs, one at a time. Add the vanilla, and gently stir in the salt and flour just until incorporated. Pour the batter into the prepared skillet and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Allow to cool, then serve with fresh fruit and ice-cream.
