It is Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas ….

December 10, 2011 By Spoonful of Sugar - 20 Comments

With two weeks to go, we are finally feeling a bit more organised for Christmas. The teens have both finished school for the year, and are getting plenty of work in their casual/part time jobs at the local shopping centre.

Our home is nearly decorated for Christmas…

The teens were responsible for the tree and used all our red, aqua, white, and silver decorations

including our new Clay Decorations

and our glittered keys. I bought the keys on clearance at Typo last year, and painted and glittered them in red and aqua. I think I will use them in our table settings. Getting inspiration from this gorgeous display.

Our mantle-piece has been decorated

and includes Sarah’s Merry and Bright Christmas Picture and some Festive Felt Trees, made using a tutorial over at Allsorts.

Side Table includes Mushroom Ornaments and Yo Yo Decorations.

Our sewing room has been transformed back into a Guest Room, ready for a special visitor in a few days time.

It is definitely beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Next I need to start thinking about food and planning Christmas menus; wrapping the rest of the gifts; and working on the table settings.

How are your preparations going?

Beautiful guest room. Your guest may never want to leave. Your house is very festive! Today is our day to decorate. I’m woefully behind but it’ll get done. Time to load the CD player with my favorite holiday music.

What a pretty tree! I love that color combinations you went with. Fun tour of some of your ornaments too. They look so elegant and really pop off the tree. It feels great to have all your decorations up, doesn’t it. Sure makes the house feel festive!

I am all a-dither over those felt trees! Your color theme is so happy and bright. We are always a hodge-podge here, heavy on the red. Enjoy the extra time with your family.

Your decorating looks great, I love your color scheme! The decision has been made in our house that the ‘little’ table tree is not enough so I will drag out the bigger tree and all the decorations and it can be put up while I am at work!!!
