After school this afternoon, Sarah, her friend, and I made some little Christmas houses. They are a twist on the more traditional gingerbread house, and are assembled with ready made biscuits such as Sponge Fingers, Hundreds and Thousands, Tina Wafers, and Milk Coffee, and then decorated with lollies. We found the recipe and inspiration here.
They were lots of fun to make – I can see a whole village of these in our future!
oh what fun! I have promised to make up some gingerbread mix ready to make up a house, at least the oven will warm things up as its freexing cold here.
Very cute. When my kids were young we built graham cracker houses with the neighbors. After we moved from Japan we continued the tradition up until a year or so ago. Lots of fun.
These are sooo sweet… just adorable! They wouldn’t last long in our house though…they’d be eaten far to quickly…LOL! Happy Days to you all :o) ((HUGS))
I wish I’d seen this before I went ahead and did houses for my daughters birthday baking party– I made up a bunch more aprons and used ideas from your master chef party post–who knew I’d appreciate that post so much! Thanks again!
Very cute! The question is, what happens to all the cookies from the packet that aren’t used for houses? I’d be eating them in our house!!! I made Sarah’s M&M cookies again at the weekend – delicious as always!

what a clever idea, it certainly looks very different from a more traditional gingerbread village.
gosh…I might eat more than I made if it were me! Lovely, fun and unique…perfect!

Very cute. An edible village.
Hi Sarah,
aren`t these cute. I would love one with my latte…..lol. Have a great week Myriam
oh how cute! I can certainly imagine a whole village filled with these cute houses!
Too cute! They look so easy, much easier than the traditional gingerbread house, and edible!
Oh girls, these are too cute! Love the little spearmint leaf bushes 🙂
What a neat idea! Love how simple and different it is!
How adorable!! What a great idea especially if you don’t like gingerbread (it can be too dry sometimes) or don’t have time to make a large “house”.
these are darling! And they look so fun to make.

These are super cute and looking like a much better option than the gingerbread house I was hoping to find time to create!!!
Gingerbread houses outside the box. LOVE IT!!!
Yummy!
They look great – we made these last year – they were so much fun:)
Very cute! I have such a sweet tooth that I would probably have all the ingredients eaten before I was able to create anything!
Sweetness and happiness to you,

Adorable and I think even I could do those.
xoxoxo
So a great idea, and your houses came out lovely. The houses look strait out of a fairy tale.

These little houses are absolutely gorgeous. What a brilliant idea. Miniaturising ANYTHING is good but miniaturising edible houses? Fantastic.
those are very cute – a good idea from the traditional ginger bread house…
Very cute!!
love it! they are adorable.
so cute and fun! i’d love to live in a biscuit and cookie house. :0
Could these be any cuter?!? I just can’t imagine how! I wonder if there is a way to shelac them so that you can enjoy them for years to come?
