My latest foundation paper piecing quilt block is the Woodland Wonder Quilt Block. Featuring a simple pine tree with a herringbone design, this is a fun way to use your favourite scrap fabrics. In my samples shown here, I have used a mint, teal, green and navy palette from the Reverie fabric range by Ruby Star Society. I used low volume prints int he background so the colourful trees really pop.
The Woodland Wonder Quilt Block is a foundation paper piecing pattern that comes in five rectangular sizes: 2 x 3 inches, 3 x 4 ½ inches, 4 x 6 inches, 5 x 7 ½ inches, and 6 x 9 inches. You can use it to make a variety of projects, such as placemats, table runners, bags, aprons, pot holders, and more. You can also mix and match the blocks to create a stunning quilt or wall hanging.
Woodland Wonder is perfect for holiday projects – you can use colours and fabric choices to coordinate with your holiday decorating.
Woodland Wonder can also be used at any time of year. Just use fabrics to reflect the season. Trees are a universally popular motif to use in quilting and sewing projects.
Woodland Wonder is a 20 page PDF Pattern that includes FPP templates for 5 sizes, in both A4 and Letter size to suit your home printer. Colouring page is also included to assist you in planning your project. Project includes general foundation paper piecing instructions and a basic understanding of FPP is required for success with this project.
