Have you made a project using equilateral triangles? The Splendid Star Table Topper is a great place to start if you are new to sewing triangles together. This table topper can be easily constructed in an afternoon. For this project I used sweet pastel coloured prints for an Easter table topper. I used a lovely fabric range called Milk and Honey designed by Elea Lutz for Riley Blake Designs. The top of the table topper can be constructed from Layer Cake Squares (pre-cut 10 inch squares of quilting fabric) which are then cut into a triangle shape. Instructions are provided for using an equilateral ruler and also for making your own triangle template from the template provided in the pattern.
The Splendid Star Table Topper pattern includes a colouring sheet so you can trial different layouts. In this layout I used 6 pink triangles to create a star design. By changing the colours of different triangles you can achieve a variety of effects. This versatile pattern can be used for a range of holiday themed table toppers.
The Splendid Star Table Topper is a great size for a coffee table, dining table, or console table. You can use it to set up a holiday display and is easy to swap out depending on the season.
The Splendid Star Table Topper can be found in our Pattern Store and Etsy Shop. It is a 10 page pattern with loads of step by step photos and a full sized template.
