Liberty Hexie Sewing Kit

July 11, 2015 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 5 Comments

Liberty Hexie Sewing Kit made from the Hexie Sewing Kit PDF Pattern from www.etsy.com/shop/aspoonfullofsugar

I have been working on another Hexie Sewing Kit this week, this time using some sweet classic and new season Liberty Lawn prints in shades of blue.

Liberty 2

This is the first time that I have used Liberty fabrics for hexagons and they are well suited to English Paper Piecing due to the quality of the fabric. The lovely feature of Liberty prints is that they always seem to work well together in patchwork projects.

I stitched the hexies onto a background of ivory linen which really blends perfectly with the sweet Liberty prints.

On the inside of the Liberty hexie sewing kit, I used a lace motif and some vintage French laundry tape featuring my monogram. I cut the felt using some scalloped scissors which makes for a sweet finish.

Disclaimer: Thanks to Ava and Neve for providing most of the Liberty fabric used in this project.
