I’m excited to share with you my newest pattern, the Jubilee Bag. It has a pretty scalloped edge and a drawstring cover to keep everything tidy and secure.
What I love about this pattern is the scalloped edge adds a touch of whimsy and charm to the bag. It’s perfect for showcasing a beautiful feature fabric with some coordinating solids and small scale floral prints. You can use this bag for so many things – as a project bag to store your crafty supplies, as a lunch bag to take on outings or to the office, or as a gift for someone special.
I designed this Jubilee bag specifically for the Tilda Jubilee fabric range, which is a celebration of 25 years of Tilda fabric. They have reimagined some of their most popular prints from previous collections and they are gorgeous. You can find them at your local quilt shop or online.. The colors and prints are so beautiful and cheerful, perfect for this bag. I used the Circus Life design as the feature print on the bag – who can resist the elephants, ballerinas, and tea cups?
The Jubilee Bag is a fun and easy project that you can complete in a few hours. It is suitable for confident beginners or intermediate sewists who can sew straight and curved lines. You will love making and using this bag!
If you make a Jubilee Bag, please share on social media using #jubileebag I would love to see your creations.
