Hexie Star Placemat is our latest placemat pattern in the Hexie Placemat Collection. It has been so much fun to design this set of placemats – perfect for all the different holidays/seasons throughout the year. The Hexie Star placemat is resplendent in red, white and blue. Perfect for 4th of July BBQ’s, picnics, summer entertaining.
The Hexie Star Placemat is also ideal for super hero parties – the placemat reminds me of Captain AMerica’s shield with its big star surrounded by stripes.
The placemat design would also look lovely for Christmas if it was made in festive colours with its bright star int eh centre. Such a versatile pattern – great for a wide range of uses.
The Hexie Star Placemat can also be used as a mugrug, pot holder or trivet. Use a layer of insulated batting if you want to make it more heat resistant.

It includes a 12 page ePattern with loads of photos and instructions to guide you through the construction. It also includes a foundation paper pieced template to make the inner star. The template is available in both Letter Size and A4 to suit your home printer.
