Flower Headband Gift Packaging

July 12, 2013 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 5 Comments

We love the sweet headbands that little girls often wear in photo shoots. They are really quick to make using some pretty elastic and a chiffon flower with pearl embellishments. They also look cute on teddy bears and dolls.

To make a head band, cut a length of elastic to fit the child’s head. Stitch together into a loop and then securely attach the fabric flower.

If you are making the head band as a gift – here is a size guide:

-Newborn 13.5 in

-0-3 months-14 in

-3-6 months 15 in

-6-12 Months 16 in

-12 Months + 17.5 in.

We packaged up a baby gift in a noodle box and wrapped a strip of pretty paper around the box. We removed the wire handle on one side of the box and slipped the headband around the box. The excess elastic was taped underneath the box using some masking tape. We reattached the handle on the box and added a gift tag.

The sweet head band decorates the package as well as being part of the gift.

Disclaimer:  Thanks to Think Bowtique for providing the Double Frill Velvet Elastic and Chiffon Flower with Pearl Embellishment used in this project.

Please be aware that the flower headbands contain small parts and should only be worn for short periods as photography props and under strict supervision.
