The Retro Drawstring Bags were so much fun create (you can find our free tutorial here ). Here is a Christmas variation, featuring an English Paper Pieced Hexagon sewn on to the front of the bag. They are made from the super cute Christmas fabric range, Flower Sugar Holiday (now out of print). Flower Sugar Holiday is perfect for fussy cutting – it features stars, ornaments, and candy elements.
Check out our free tutorial to make the fabric and felt stars on our Simple Christmas Ornaments post.
I used a Fiskars Hexagon Squeeze Punch, Medium to punch out the 1/2 inch hexagon papers needed for the hexagon flower. These little fully lined drawstring bags measure 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches – perfect for holding a small gift or a gift card.
You can find more of our Christmas projects made using Flower Sugar Holiday over on our Christmas Treat Bags post.
