I love Bonne Maman jam jars and have quite a collection. They are so useful for storing lots of bits and pieces in the sewing room and I can’t resist their red and white gingham lids. I have a few filled with buttons.
I dressed up a button jar with a scrap of gingham fabric and a crocheted cherry to make this Cherry Jar. I made the cherry using the pattern by Next to Nicx. I used some dmc perle 3 thread in red and variegated green.
I love how it turned out and it was such a quick project to crochet in front of the TV. I might make some more in cherry season and use them to dress up jars of homemade jam.
