With Mothers Day just around the corner, I designed a Breakfast Set consisting of a tea cosy, tray cloth, and napkin with crocheted edge. My clever in house graphic designer (aka Sarah) put together the tutorial picture for me!
I figure if I leave it out as a *hint* my family might bring me a lovely Breakfast in bed on Mothers Day morning !
Inspired by the wonderful pillowcases over at You Go Girl I had to make a napkin with a crocheted edging. I used the crocheted scalloped edging my Nan taught me when I was a young girl.
This is so LOVELY, Lisa! I love love the vibrant colors and bold patterns. I would love to be served breakfast in bed with all that sweetness…mmm… Just love that crocheted edge on the napkin. Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
This is lovely, it would be so nice to wake up in the morning and be treated to breakfast in bed, especially on Mothers Day……hint hint hint. 🙂 I’m sure your family have got some lovely treats for you.
What a lovely set! I would love to receive this set, but since I don’t have kids, I might just have to make it for myself. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to get your breakfast in bed with your beautiful new set?!
That looks so pretty and inviting, Lisa. After the whole Posh Pillowcase thing, I see crochet edging on everything! Love the Breakfast set. I hope someone at your house puts it to good use real soon.
The title of your post was a grabber for me. In all my years, I do not think I have ever had breakfast in bed. Maybe this year for mother’s day…I love the colors that you used on the projects.
Beautiful! I love the fresh, pretty fabrics you used and the great details – gotta love that crochet edging. Hope your family takes the hint for Mother’s Day. ;o)
IS THERE A PATTERN OR TUTORIAL SOMEWHERE THAT I AM OVERLOOKING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THAT TOO CUTE “TEA COZY”? I VISITED THE FABRIC WEBSITE, BUT IT WASN’T THERE EITHER. I LOVE THOSE FABRIC CHOICES…
What a great breakfast that is! It is beautiful!

Hi Monica – this is an old post of ours and unfortunately Quilt Fabric Delights has recently closed. You can find our similar “Time for Tea” Teapot Cosy here: http://aspoonfulofsugardesigns.com/2012/09/time-for-tea-teapot-cosy-tutorial/
