{Book Reviews} Christmas Craft Titles

October 10, 2013 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 1 Comment

Christmas is our favourite time of the year and it never fails to inspire us to engage in crafting and baking. We recently received two Christmas craft titles filled with loads of holiday craft/sewing inspiration. If you are starting to plan some holiday projects, be sure to check out these new titles.

Handmade Scandinavian Christmas by Hege Barnholt is a charming collection of over 120 craft projects, recipes, and ideas to create a Scandinavian inspired Christmas. The projects are rustic and simple, using lots of natural materials in scandi style. What we love about this book is that the projects are all achievable, with many suitable for children to create.

The projects include decorations for the house and garden, gifts to give, projects for little hands, advent calendars, decorations for the table, Christmas flowers, tasty presents, gift wrapping ideas and more. Some of the craft techniques used include: paper craft, cooking, flower arranging, knitting, and nature crafts.
Handmade Scandinavian Christmas is beautifully photographed and includes full sized pattern templates, and clear instructions. We recommend this book for anyone who loves to inject some handmade into their Christmas celebrations.
