Vote For Craft!

August 21, 2010 By Spoonful of Sugar - 26 Comments

Quilting Arts Gifts is a special issue of Quilting Arts Magazine devoted to the art of gift-giving and will be on sale soon. I was most excited to discover that my Advent Houses have made the cover. I had a lot of fun with this project – I love everything about Christmas. Now I can’t wait to see the magazine in person – the contents is available here and it looks like a fabulous issue.

Australia went to the polls today and we are still waiting to hear the outcome – it is going to be close. We are also going to have a poll of our own!  Sarah has been busy putting her graphic design skills to work and has designed three new headers for A Spoonful of Sugar (fantastic effort for 13 year old!). We would love your opinion – check out the poll in our side bar –

Blue Header

Pink/Red Header

Multi- Coloured Header

We will be back tomorrow with the winner of our Craft Hope Giveaway.

All 3 were great but I went with blue also. Something about it just appealed to me. Sarah is one talented gal!

Congrats on your Advent Houses making the magazine cover. They certainly are cover worthy so I see why they were chosen.

Congrats on the magazine cover. Very Exciting!!! Heather has made it extremely hard to decide. I loved the Pink/Red Header but the Blue Header looks really great with your background. So… I pick the Blue one.

Since the blue header is my favourite shade, I will have to make that one my vote (but I love her polka-dot Converse sneakers on the pink one :))

How exciting, to have one of your gorgeous project published in yet another magazine. And the house Advent calendar looks great!
I would definitely go for the first banner. It somehow belongs best to your blog and makes me think of you. Off to vote now.
PS: Sarah, you did a wonderful job on creating those banners. You are very very talented!

Sharing a closer look at the Handy Drawstring Pouc Sharing a closer look at the Handy Drawstring Pouch today — a sweet little project that’s as practical as it is pretty. I stitched this one in the blue and gold colourway of the Tilda Songbird collection and love how the soft watercolour florals shine in a small make. The pouch features cleverly shaped panels (with no boxed corners), stands tall when in use, and folds completely flat for storage. It’s also reversible, which makes it such a fun and versatile sew.   These little pouches are perfect for organising your sewing room, gifting to a friend, or popping into a project bag.The pattern includes three sizes, and you can find it in both my Pattern Store and Etsy shop. Comment HANDY and I’ll send the link straight to your inbox.A big thank you to @tilda_australia for gifting the beautiful fabric.#tildasongbird #drawstringbagpattern #aspoonfulofsugardesigns #tildafabrics #sewingproject
