Currently working on…..

July 22, 2011 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 8 Comments

While I had my die cutting machine out yesterday, I worked on a card and matching gift box for a friends birthday. For the gift box, I used this svg file.

I am also working on a chicken scratch embroidery project – here is a peak at the progress so far.

Sarah and I would like to warmly welcome our newest sponsor, Tammy from Marmalade Fabrics. Tammy stocks a staggering 130 colours of Kona Cotton Solids, and an impressive range of modern fabric. We have purchased fabric from Tammy and she provides great customer service. What we like about Marmalade Fabrics is that you can buy fat quarters or yards, which gives you greater choice. For those of you in the US, there is free shipping on orders over $50.

This is the last weekend before we resume school and work next week. Why do holidays always go so fast?

I always love seeing what you’re working on because you’re always making the cutest stuff! That card and gift box set is adorable – love the dimensional butterflies. I love the combination of the red thread and aqua check or gingham too. Such a great color combo!

Sharing a closer look at the Handy Drawstring Pouc Sharing a closer look at the Handy Drawstring Pouch today — a sweet little project that’s as practical as it is pretty. I stitched this one in the blue and gold colourway of the Tilda Songbird collection and love how the soft watercolour florals shine in a small make. The pouch features cleverly shaped panels (with no boxed corners), stands tall when in use, and folds completely flat for storage. It’s also reversible, which makes it such a fun and versatile sew.   These little pouches are perfect for organising your sewing room, gifting to a friend, or popping into a project bag.The pattern includes three sizes, and you can find it in both my Pattern Store and Etsy shop. Comment HANDY and I’ll send the link straight to your inbox.A big thank you to @tilda_australia for gifting the beautiful fabric.#tildasongbird #drawstringbagpattern #aspoonfulofsugardesigns #tildafabrics #sewingproject
