Crafts for All Occasions

March 8, 2012 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 12 Comments

You may recall, that I reviewed Martha Stewart’s, Handmade Holidays back in November. I have just discovered that this book has now been released in Australia, under the title of “Crafts for All Occasions”, complete with a new cover. This is such an inspiring book as it covers 225 craft projects, using lots of different crafting techniques, covering all the major holidays. You can read my review here.

With Easter fast approaching, I have been looking over the Easter section where there are lots of projects/techniques for decorating eggs, Easter table settings, gift bags and baskets. Some of my favourite Easter projects are:

Crepe Paper Carrots

Paper napkin Decoupaged Eggs

Easter Garland, Cupcake Toppers, and Favor bags

I love the Easter Favour Bags – such a great way to gift Easter chocolates/candy. I was pleased to see that we can buy the Easter M&M’s here in Australia this year. I have previously only seen them when we lived in Texas.

Inspired by Martha, here are some Favor Bags I have made using  pastel coloured scrap booking papers, and Divine Twine.

Crafts for All Occasions is available in Australia from  Booktopia, Fishpond and Can Do Books

Disclaimer: Please note that we are not paid to write book reviews but we do receive a review copy of the book from distributors/publishers. We are affiliates of Booktopia and Fishpond.

I’m a HUGE Martha fan and have every single mag (except 5) from 1997. I also adore her books but the trouble with most of them is that a lot of the content is a repeat of magazine content.

If you haven’t read the mags, you’ll be in sheer bliss – no one does it better. If you have read/got the mags, you won’t be as blown away, even a little disappointed.

Nonetheless, I bet this book inspired you creative gals!

Love the little rabbit bags with the coordinating ribbons, very pretty! And the carrots are super cute! Saw a million Easter eggs in the shops yesterday, I’d forgotten how quickly it comes after Christmas!

Hi Mary – I used my Cricut die cutting machine to cut the bunny. If you search for bunny craft punch on google there are a few options but they do look a bit smaller than the bunny I used.
