This Christmas our decorating will feature the colours of eucalyptus green, white, and silver. We will be incorporating metal and wood accents to create an Australiana theme. I have made a start on my Christmas sewing with this Christmas placemat. This Hexie Holiday Placemat features a foundation paper pieced tree with a pieced border. These Christmas placemats can be easily constructed using the Hexie Holiday PDF Sewing Pattern that is available in our Etsy and Pattern Shop. The fabric used is predominately Merry Taupe by Lecien Fabrics.
I decorated the table with olive leaves and a cluster of silver berries, tied with striped green and white twine. Simple and festive.
I have lovely vintage haberdashery supplies that fit our Christmas theme so these will be part of our Christmas display – I love incorporating my favourite items from around my home into our Christmas decorating. Love all the vintage green tones in these all wooden cotton reels.
The Hexie Holiday Placemat is a versatile pattern – as you can see in the collection of placemats below, it can be made in any colourway to match your Christmas table.
Stay tuned for more Christmas craft projects over the coming weeks.

So cute! I have favorited in the Etsy shop so that I can try to sew it when I have some time freed up!

Can you tell me which Tilda Quilt Collection that you used for the red/green/ blue prints shown on the PDF pattern? I bought it and made it with those fabrics last year but I only have about 3 of the prints left and want to make some more. I don’t remember where I bought the prints.
Thank you.
