Pretty Patchwork Pillow Sham

June 21, 2015 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 14 Comments

Pretty Patchwork Pillow Sham - Sewing Pattern by A Spoonful of SugarIt has been a cold, wet, and wintry weekend here in Perth. The perfect weather to spend in my sewing room. I finished my latest pattern, the Pretty Patchwork Pillow Sham. This was fun and quick to piece together and makes a cosy addition to the bedroom. There is something about quilted items that make you feel comforted and snug. I will be taking this one with me on my Quilting Retreat in a few weeks time.

I am always looking for projects that are charm square friendly and the Pretty Patchwork  Pillow Sham uses one pack of charm squares, plus some additional yardage. It is a fun way to use those charms that you have sitting in your sewing room. It is beginner friendly and would be a suitable project for someone wanting to try their hand at patchwork, and quilting, without committing to a larger project.

The pattern has instructions for making the pillow sham in two sizes so that it is a great fit for your pillow. The pillow sham has an internal flap so that your pillow is hidden from view.

If you are interested in the pattern, head on over to our Etsy or Pattern Shop. The pattern is available for immediate download.

The fabric used in the pillow sham is from the Painted Flowers range by Tilda, and available from Sew Creative Supplies.

The pillow is so lovely! And don´t care about the weather – actually we have summer in Germany but it is raining and cold.
    Haha.
