Alice Garrett, owner of Alice Caroline has released her first sewing book, Little Lady Liberty, which showcases 20 sweet and simple sewing projects designed for little girls. We are pleased to be part of the blog hop for this lovely title. Little Lady Liberty includes patterns for a quilt, pillows, bedroom décor, skirts, bags, accessories, and other pretty items. I am sure that the little girl in your life will enjoy looking through the book with you to help select a special project. Most of the projects are quick to construct and could be easily completed in an evening or weekend. Need a birthday gift in a hurry? You are sure to find the perfect item to sew for a little girl. Many of the projects would be suitable for “big” girls too – especially the wonderful home décor items.
All of the projects in the book are made with beautiful Liberty fabrics. Liberty Tana Lawn comes is a large range of timeless and classical prints predominately featuring pretty florals. Liberty fabric is a high quality, fine, cotton fabric from the UK which is beautiful to sew with. I have a small collection of Liberty prints that I have assembled over the past couple of years. The lovely feature of Liberty fabric is their small scale prints which seem to co-ordinate so well with each other. As a lover of Liberty fabric, I enjoyed reading the book and looking at all the beautiful photographs featuring many of my favourite Liberty prints. The projects could also easily be made with any sweet cotton fabric to suit your style.
What we love most about the projects is they are suitable for beginner sewists and the instructions contain loads of helpful photographs and tips to guide you through the construction process.
