When this sweet pile of Minny Muu arrived recently, I knew it would make the perfect baby project. The colourful small scale prints are ideally suited to little projects, like the Hexagon Baby Bib. Lecien Fabrics new Minny Muu release is due out in Spring 2016, and it blends so well with previous collections.
The latest range includes hearts, flowers, polar bears, and patterned stripe. It is available in both softer pastel shades as well as brighter, more primary colours.
The polar bears are my favourites!
I combined the new collection with the spring 2016 collection and made some sweet hexagons.
It was the perfect project to use my new Fiskars hexagon punch to make the papers for the piecing.
The small scale prints make the perfect bias binding trim.
The Hexagon Baby Bibs is one of the projects from my book, A Spoonful of Sugar. It is due for release on April 26, 2016. I love how this this project looks made from sweet Minny Muu fabric.
The Hexagon Baby Bib has a side opening tab, with a snap fastener. It features some simple stitching, and a hand pieced hexagon flower. These would make a lovely baby gift.
Minny Muu fabric is available from Sew Stitching Happy.
