Christmas is our favourite time of year and we have already made a start with our Christmas decorating. Each year we love to have a theme for Christmas and then plan the decorations and menu around the theme. This year we are having a break from more traditional colours of red and green, and are using a modern metallic palette – with lots of rose gold, copper, gold, silver – plus some black, graphite, and white. Rose gold is right on trend in home decorating this year and it works so well for Christmas. We have also introduced some geometric shapes in our luxe Gatsby inspired theme.
We headed to Target for Christmas decorating supplies and their Geo Graphic theme items were just what we were after! They have grouped their decorations into four key themes so it is easy to find the style you are looking for. We found a lovely gold Glass Tree for our mantle-piece that we have grouped with some ornaments. We found interesting shapes, textures, and a variety of metallic effects for an effective and modern display.
We love the Lisa T Tealight holder in rose gold which works well with the metallic fruit ornaments.
Target have a large selection of well priced baubles and decorations in lots of colours, shapes, and styles.
We found the perfect Christmas Crackers for our table.
We stocked up on wrapping paper, gift bags, gift cards and ribbons to match our metallic theme.
Target have some great basic Christmas decorations – including Tree Stars, Tinsel, and Baubles to get you started on your decorating.
Stay tuned for some quick crafts that fit with our Metallic Christmas theme that we will share over the coming weeks.

Hi Lisa!
Oh I love your christmas theme! I love all kind of glitter & shining & sparkling. The silver pear is the best!
Love.

Thanks Mrs Patch – It is fun pulling this theme together. The Silver pear is awesome – I was thinking of putting them at each place setting.
