About Us

Hi there! I’m Lisa, the creative mind and passionate sewist behind this cozy corner of the internet since 2008. My journey with sewing began as a simple hobby and quickly blossomed into a full-blown love affair with fabrics, patterns, and all things crafty. I have worked as an occupational therapist and senior public servant for many years, and am now focussing on A Spoonful of Sugar.

Why Sewing?

Sewing is more than just a craft for me; it’s a way to express creativity and connect with a wonderful community of like-minded individuals. Every stitch tells a story, and every project is a new adventure. Whether it’s a vibrant quilt, a cozy table setting, or a festive ornament, I pour my heart into each creation.
