{Giveaway} Zakka Workshop Coin Purse Kits

September 6, 2015 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 103 Comments

Patchwork Coin Purse - made by A Spoonful of Sugar using a Zakka Workshop kit.

It is no secret that I love making small projects that can be easily constructed in an evening or afternoon. I have been working on some larger projects recently, so it was a treat to disappear into the sewing room for an hour today and make a small purse. This adorable patchwork purse with a metal snap closure measures a sweet 2 3/4 x 3 inches (7 x 7.5 cm) and is the perfect size to store some tiny treasures, coins, jewellery etc.

I combined some lavender and lemon florals, with some gingham in this sweet coin purse.

I used the Simple Patchwork Pouch kit from Zakka Workshop, which included the purse clasp, paper string, and a tutorial style pattern with lots of photos to explain the process. I provided the fusible batting, fabric, and glue. The project was much simpler and easier than I was expecting and it came together really quickly with a minimum of fuss. I am sure I will be making more – they would make great little gifts to have on hand.
