One of my favourite classic quilt blocks is the Vintage Kite Block, also known as the Mills and Stars Block. With a low volume background, these stars really twinkle. The photo above and below shows a mix of the three blocks. As you can see, they are all variations of the same block and complement each other perfectly.
I have three blocks which are all variations of the Vintage Kite: Mills and Stars; Sunset Star; and Star and Dot Quilt Blocks. All of these blocks are available in 4 sizes – 3 inch, 4 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch.
I have made my samples as 3 inch blocks and these are destined to become a sweet pillow.
