Silver Craft

February 7, 2009 By Spoonful of Sugar - 23 Comments

I received an advance copy of Silver magazine from the editor today. It will be hitting the news stands in Perth next week. You may recall Miss Polly who set off on a big adventure in a drop for The Toy Society a couple of weeks ago. She featured in an article on the Toy Society that I wrote for the magazine.

This issue also features another 12 of my quick craft projects. You may recognise the Passport Protector. We used the luggage tags and passport cover on our recent holiday and our suitcases were so easy to spot on the luggage carousel.

I was inspired by the lovely Plastic Bag Dispensers that Pink Penguin has been making so made one up this week. The one I have been using was made many years ago when I was going through a “country” phase and  was definitely in need of a makeover! Now I use eco-friendly bags for my grocery shopping I don’t have as many plastic bags to store so this one is perfect for hanging inside my pantry cupboard.

Check out the Valentine “Lovepots” over at Rustic Tarts – such a cute idea!

It has been nearly a year since Sarah and I started this blog. Pop back in a few days – I think a giveaway is in order!

Congratulations! Love your fabric choices on all of your projects. That’s a terrific plastic bag dispenser. Almost too pretty to use! Did you do a luggage tutorial that I missed? I’ve bookmarked the passport cover.

Congrat’s on your fab work being published in Silver – I wonder if we can get that magazine in NZ – it looks like it would be a great read. The plastic bag holder is much to nice to hide on the inside of your pantry. Hugs Jx
