Butterflies

March 25, 2008 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 16 Comments

I cut these butterflies with a butterfly punch out of magazines and scrapbooking paper and then I stuck them on a plain piece of card using foam dots. I put them in a frame I already had but a deeper one would work better as they would have 3D affect.
I got the idea from Two Lime Leaves.

The colours are lovely! And you found a very cool punch, too. What is it?

Beautiful! I really like this idea. Repetition of shapes is always pleasing to the eye. I’m going to have to try something like this 🙂

I did this, too, and used a Cuttlebug butterfly stencil. I also have a deep frame a bent the wings a little so they look great and 3 D. (They have inexpensive white deep frames at IKEA in different sizes.) Currently I am making some more for friends to give to them as presents, because this so celebrates spring!
    Bye,
    Jule
