Looking for a cute and easy project to brighten up your Valentine’s Day? Why not try making a Braided Heart Mugrug? It was inspired by the paper Scandinavian Hearts that are made from braided paper and used as Christmas decorations.
This Scandinavian Heart mugrug pattern is a great way to use up your fabric scraps and practice your sewing skills. You will learn simple patchwork and sewing curves. Great for building your sewing skills before you tackle a larger project.
The Braided Heart Mugrug features a lovely heart shape made from two contrasting fabrics. I used pretty Valentines themed fabric from the Lovestruck collection by Art Gallery Fabrics. I combined it with a lovely purple fabric from the Twirl range by Ruby Star Society.
It’s a fun and simple way to add some charm and coziness to your table or desk. You can make it in any color scheme you like, or use Valentine’s themed fabrics for a festive touch.
You can find the Braided Heart Mugrug Pattern in our Pattern Store and Etsy Shop for immediate download. If you make these sweet hearts, please use #braidedheartmugrug I love to see what you make using my patterns.
