Triangle Coin Pouch

January 11, 2015 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 13 Comments

Make an easy patchwork triangle pouch with our sewing tutorial - A Spoonful of Sugar

Sewing time has been in short supply lately. Life has been keeping me busy and away from the craft room but I managed to sneak a bit of time today to make another Triangle Pouch. (You can find our tutorial here if you would like to make your own Triangle Coin Pouch).  I found another small metal zipper tucked away in my stash. This one was in black which helped decide the colour scheme of this little pouch. The sweet wooden cat button was the prefect addition to a red, white, and black pouch (the cat buttons were purchased from a craft fair and I don’t have the name of the supplier).  I also added a little monogram (alphabet brocaded ribbon from Purl Soho) as a finishing touch. I love combining dots, gingham, text and small prints together.

Thanks Ruth! I have been waiting for a project that was perfect for the button. I picked it up at a local craft fair – wished I had of bought more of the buttons. They are great to add to projects.

I just remembered I have some similar ‘buttons’ which are little bunnies made from a thick felt/vinyl material. I also bought them at a craft fair from Studio Mio (pretty sure they are online if any of your readers are interested)

This is the cutest thing ever–and I love the Japanese-esque cat button. I’ve been trying to figure out triangle pouches for ages, but for some reason, the instructions for them go right over my head.
