My first patchwork project was a pair of Cathedral Window Pillows that I made to sit on my bed when I was in my teens. I have always loved Cathedral Window Patchwork and have made quite a number of pillows over the years. including the one I made for Homespun Magazine which you can see here. This technique still looks fresh and modern today and is much easier that it looks! When Lecien Fabrics sent me some of their Flower Sugar Fall 2015 range I knew just how to use it. With the white foundation squares, the colourful and pretty Flower Sugar range really pops in this Cathedral Window Pillow. It looks amazing with my white doona cover.
The pillow is made using our Cathedral Window Pillow PDF Pattern which is available for immediate download in our Craftsy and Etsy stores. The back features three fabrics from the range plus some sweet self cover buttons.
If you have been following us on instagram you may have seen some of the progress shots on this pillow during the week.
My pillow is heading to Quilt Market in Houston – I wish I was going too! If you would like to make you own cathedral window project, check out our Cathedral Window Pillow Pdf Pattern.
