If you are as passionate about baking as we are, you will love these two new book titles for baking lovers.

The Pink Whisk Guide to Cake Making by Ruth Clemens is a is a great resource for anyone wanting to perfect their cake baking. Delicious cake recipes are presented with step-by-step photographs so that you can check your progress as you go and learn new skills. It will help you to achieve perfect results and is great for the visual learner.

Author, Ruth Clemens, was a finalist on the The Great British Bake-Off. We are looking forward to the Australian series which is due to air later this year. Ruth shares her recipes on her blog, The Pink Whisk.

The book is divided into three sections – Creaming Methods, Whisked Cakes, and Melting Methods. Each recipe has lots of helpful tips and techniques to guide you through the process. Whether you are looking for a party cake, dessert, or just a family favourite, you are sure to find a cake to meet your needs. It also includes a helpful section on cake making basics and equipment.

We recommend this book for anyone wanting to master the techniques of cake making. It would be especially suitable for beginners as the helpful photographs will add to your confidence in the kitchen.
