Love That Lace Throw

April 12, 2020 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 1 Comment

Love That Lace Crochet Throw is a modern crochet pattern featuring open, lacy squares. I recently finished this lovely throw for our family living area in shades of cream, grey, stone, blue and aqua. After the last few throws I have made which had multiple colour changes in each block, it was nice to have fewer ends to weave in. The lace pattern and the colour block design make for an effective throw blanket.

Love that Lace Throw is made from DMC Natura yarn – which is incredibly soft and has a lovely modern matte finish.

I used three balls of each of the following colours:

  • Blue Paradise
  • Aswan
  • Sable
  • Ivory
  • Aquamarine

I had approx 0.5 ball of each colour remaining to add to my stash of DMC Natura. I have found this yarn to be perfect for crochet baby toys.

Love That Lace Throw Pattern can be found at Yummy Yarn and Co. I made mine slightly larger than the pattern – it is 8 squares wide by 10 squares long – which makes it a good size for a throw.

The lacey squares are joined together as you go. The throw is finished with a simple picot border using the colour to complement the border squares. This provided a few more ends to weave in, but really finishes it off perfectly.

Crochet is a very therapeutic and relaxing pastime which really helps with mindfulness. Just what we all need in these challenging times. Currently examining my yarn stash and working out what to start on next!
